Common Swimming Injuries

Tendonitis or Tears

Our shoulder is made up of three bones called humerus (upper arm bone), scapula (shoulder blade), and clavicle (collar bone). All these three bones are interconnected to one another through the help of your rotator cuff. When the rotator cuff is torn due to pressure or overuse, these three bones will have direct contact with one another which causes the excruciating pain. The pain will last a day or two with or without the help of pain medications; however, if the pain is not subsiding after 48 hours, seek medical attention.
